He sits upon the plains of the Volta’
Seated in his eternal chair of authority…
Clothed in awesome wonder,
Creating his own atmosphere;
And shadowing the landscape with beauty.
O’ Afadja; your peak is beautiful!
I cannot but stand in awe of your beauty…
Have you charmed me?!
Silent Mount Afadja,
With handsomeness so resoundingly loud;
It neither vanishes from my memory nor thoughts.
Beautiful piece isn’t it? Wondering who Afadja is? Mount Afadja is the highest mountain in Ghana, standing tall at an elevation of 2,904ft in the Agumatsa range in the Volta region of Ghana. It is one of the many tourist attractions the nation boasts of. It is usually a one to two hour journey to the top of the mountain, which presents a very beautiful view of nature. Do you also know that when you make it to the top, you can write your names on the rocks to record your feat of making it there?
